Elissa Mak attained her Bachelor of Exercise Science degree in 2017, followed by her Master of Physiotherapy degree at Griffith University in 2019. The Bachelor of Exercise Science program, spanning three years, equipped her with foundational expertise in the physical, biomedical, and psychological aspects of exercise prescription for both rehabilitation and overall health maintenance.

Her professional journey commenced in a musculoskeletal private practice, where she accumulated extensive experience working with a diverse clientele. This included individuals with acute and chronic injuries, neurological conditions, NDIS participants, orthopaedic cases, pre- and post-surgical patients, paediatric clients, and those aiming to return to sports activities.

Through her exposure to various patient cases, Elissa developed a profound interest and dedication to aiding individuals with hypermobility. Since joining Not Just Bendy, she has had the opportunity to collaborate with over 300 clients diagnosed with EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), further solidifying her expertise in this specialized area.
